A little secret, dessert is still my favourite menu option! Our favorite vegan desserts include….

Just because you’re vegan it doesn’t mean you have to give up dessert!

Pretty much any dessert can be converted into a delicious, guilt free vegan version. All you need to do is switch some of your ingredients for the vegan kind.

You can go for your favourite yummy vegan dessert recipe and you can even go for something healthy. Alternatively, you can block your ears, shut your eyes and let it all out, with chocolate, peanut butter, ice cream and other delightful treats that are more than a bit on the naughty side! (But everything in moderation right!)

Desserts to Simply Die For...

Many people get a bit of a mental block when they think of making any kind of vegan dessert mostly because they can’t think what they will use instead of the non-vegan ingredients.

Well, having cooked and baked many a vegan only dessert, let me assure you that they are just as easy to make. Perfect replacements have been created to fill these gaps so you won’t even taste the difference. In many cases the vegan option is actually a better version of the original – but I may be a little biased!

  • There are also plenty of original vegan recipes for desserts that are inspired by and created with completely vegan ingredients.

  • For those who are gluten intolerant, there are some delicious gluten free recipes too
  • Mousse /Puddings – soft silken tofu can be used in many pudding recipes to give them that smooth silky finish
  • Pies – a selection of apple, pecan and pumpkin pies, and that’s just for a start, and yes we have a couple of pie crust recipes including gluten free ones.
  • Ice cream – coconut milk, agave nectar or soy products are all available to work around the more standard ingredients in ice cream, and of course there are sorbets and other frozen treats that you can come up with once you get into the spirit of making your own vegan icy delights!
